Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, opening in the spring of 2016, will become the first Andaz-branded hotel in Canada as well as the first Ottawa hotel under Hyatt’s brand portfolio. The 200-room downtown Ottawa hotel is located in the famed Byward Market neighborhood. The neighborhood is surrounded by more than two-dozen embassies and consulates and is located immediately east of Ottawa’s commercial office core. Among the most beautiful hotels near Byward Market, Andaz Ottawa is a short walk from Parliament Hill, and just north of the University of Ottawa campus. The area has become the center of Ottawa’s nightlife and is surrounded by residential towers, restaurants and bars.

The design of our Ottawa hotel responds to a sense of place by showcasing Canadian designers, materials, and visual references. The 200-room luxury lifestyle hotel includes four two-bay Hyatt suites, two three-bay Junior suites, and a four-bay Executive Suite with a fireplace and large 560 square foot terrace. The guestrooms and suites of our downtown Ottawa hotel reflect our regionally inspired design and include decorative lighting and artwork from up-and-coming, local designers, plus luxurious walk-in closets.

Our Andaz Ottawa hotel will also feature a signature restaurant, as well as a rooftop bar and lounge that includes an outdoor terrace with panoramic views of the city. The restaurant design reflects the landscape and natural resources found amidst the Canadian countryside. With a wood pergola pattern, our downtown Ottawa hotel nods to the crop patterns of nearby farmlands. The bar serves as the hub of activity and a connection between the restaurant and lounge area, featuring generous windows and natural light.
For hosting meetings and events at our Ottawa hotel, guests can use the 16th floor bar and patio social and event space. The ultimate entertaining venue with expansive views of Parliament and the river, our downtown Ottawa hotel can accommodate a variety of gatherings.

In addition to the social space, our meeting facilities will feature six Andaz Studios as well as a pre-function and lounge area with an open kitchen. Our Ottawa hotel event space totals approximately 4,500 square feet. The studios will be flexible and transitional spaces for guests and attendees, designed with a comfortable yet luxurious feel with wide-plank hardwood flooring and plush carpeting. Metal framed sliding doors offer flexible meetings spaces and there will be integrated technology, for seamless functionality throughout the spaces.
