The Left Bank has hosted AAA's Four Diamond status since its inception.
The Sanderling's AAA Four Diamond Award winning restaurant is on the Sound side of The Resort, overlooking the tranquil waters of the Currituck Sound. The Left Bank offers spectacular panoramic views and directly faces the best sunsets the eastern seaboard has to offer. The inspiration for The Left Bank's name derives from the parallel between Paris's left bank and the restaurant's location being on the left banks of Duck's peninsula. An intimate 60-seat dining room showcases an exhibition kitchen, custom North Carolina millwork and a museum quality collection of Doughty sculptures on display. Grand floor to ceiling windows offer an unobstructed view.
The Left Bank serves contemporary American cuisine with the technique and traditions of the French culinary arts. Our mission is to serve the bounty of local farmers and fisherman with an emphasis on using Sustainable, Organic, Artisanal and Local ingredients. This concept we refer to as S.O.A.L.
The ala carte menu is a constantly changing effort to reflect the seasons. A multi-course tasting menus with or without paired wines is also a highlight of the experience. The Left Bank is a multiple Wine Spectator Award of Excellence winner and we invite you to peruse our ever changing and updated lists on site. Our evolutionary menus are created by Chef de Cuisine Travis Lee Robinson. His culinary focus is on sourcing local ingredients and he is dedicated to a philosophy rooted in sustainability.
