Be part of a rapidly growing company committed to excellence! OTO Development seeks an experienced eCommerce manager or professional to be part of a leading-edge marketing organization. Based in the company's corporate office in Spartanburg, SC, the eCommerce manager will: write SEO infused copy for hotel websites, emails, affiliate websites, social media content and digital marketing promotions. In addition to tracking the performance of the aforementioned campaigns; act as the front line of communication with field sales and operations leadership in order to assist them with questions and provide guidance when necessary.

Based in the company's corporate office in Spartanburg, SC, the eCommerce manager will: write SEO infused copy for hotel websites, emails, affiliate websites, newsletters, banners ads, for digital marketing campaigns in addition to tracking the performance of the aforementioned campaigns; act as the front line of communication with field sales and operations leadership in order to assist them with questions and provide guidance when necessary.

Core responsibilities:

  • Stay up to date with Search Engine Optimization, Digital Marketing trends and methodologies
  • Handle advertising campaign budgets, copy, performance and analytics
  • Write clear, compelling copy with strong calls to action that inspires consumers to click on promotional messages and move forward in the purchase process
  • Implement optimization of Hotel brand websites, SEO, Social Media profiles/pages, Online Directories, Local Search, GPS and Social Media websites
  • Maintain and update all online content including but not limited to: marketing, promotional offerings, photographs, videos, text, met-data, custom web pages, etc.
  • Conduct regular audits of brand.com and OTA sites to ensure each hotel is optimized for high quality custom images, content, links and work with hotels on corrective action.

Requirements

Experience creating concise, SEO-focused marketing collateral with strong calls to action. Advanced grasp of copywriting and Organic SEO strategies and tactics. Strong copywriting skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. Demonstrated proficiency in business software products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Familiarity with web analytics tools, and a keen ability to translate data to actionable, tactical plans. Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with internal & external stakeholders in order to influence their actions and drive SEO performance.

Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry best practices, search engine algorithm developments, and new SEO techniques.

Additional Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • 1 or more years experience in advertising, public relations, online marketing or a similar field
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently
  • Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side and able to demonstrate why your ideas are analytically sound
  • Understands SEO, internet marketing fundamentals and the social media universe including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Forums, Twitter, Wikis, blogs, etc.
  • Technically savvy; ability to learn and utilize Photoshop, and various CMS platforms
  • Understand how to analyze campaign tracking reports and make logical inferences
  • Amazing organizational skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Programs listed in order of importance: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Successful candidate will office and work daily in the Spartanburg, SC corporate office
