International Tourism Management Services 

ITMS represents Elegant Hotels Group's luxury resorts on the islands of Barbados, St. Lucia, and Antigua.

This position is office based with most time spent seated at workstation

Job Description:

  • Provide information and pricing to all requests for Accommodations
  • Input wholesale, guest, and group bookings
  • Answer incoming calls from tour operators, guests, and partners.
  • Provide correspondence, information, or support to guests, partners, tour operators and Elegant Hotels
  • Utilize the Opera, and other technological systems to make reservations.
  • Place outbound calls as necessary to complete reservations or answer customer questions.
  • Complete reporting on various revenue/reservation areas as assigned
  • Provide detailed reservation information to our internal team to facilitate clear communication.
  • Quality Control- Scan reservations created by the reservations team ensure accuracy
  • Support your direct supervisor, the department or function, and the company at all times.
  • Attend and participate in Team meetings as required.
  • Handle calls in compliance with established procedures.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all Elegant Hotels' products including resort services/features and hours of operation.
  • Anticipate and respond to all customer needs in a timely manner, providing exceptional customer service, and assist in the handling of guest or client complaints according to procedures and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain working knowledge of relevant computer systems according to specifications, specifically Opera, SynXis, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Promote positive relations with guests and fellow staff members.
  • Maintain clean manual files and electronic databases. Keep e-mail files in order.
  • Ensure paperwork is processed to management, clients, other departments, etc., in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Project Management- Work on new projects, including research, development, and delivery may be necessary in a team or individual capacity.
  • Other duties as needed, or assigned by Management

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma required. College Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Travel/Hospitality Industry experience. Experience in the international marketplace a plus.
  • Hotel Industry or Front Office experience preferred.
  • Prior Guest/Customer Service experience a Must, supervisory experience preferred
  • Prior Experience in Sales within of the Hotel, Travel, or Vacation Markets, a plus
  • Prior experience in a Sales, Reservations, or Call Center environment desired.
  • Familiarization with Opera PMS, SynXis, & PBX Systems preferred.
  • Written and verbal fluency in English is required

Skills Set:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office, with emphasis in Outlook & Excel
  • Prior knowledge of OPERA Property Management System is a plus
  • Flexible hours required, which may include working early morning, evenings, weekends or holidays
  • Willingness to work overtime if requested
  • Strong guest relations skills, including service recovery, and issue resolution
  • Superior phone skills, including having technical knowledge, and positive guest relations and sales experience a must.
  • Strong Project Management skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Excellent data entry and computer typing skills
  • Ability to maintain composure, and remain courteous in demanding/difficult time periods.
  • Strong organizational and personal management skills. Including the ability to keep motivated and focused during high workload levels.
  • Ability to promote positive relationships with partners, staff, and guests
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel if needed, up to a few times per year.
  • Superior analytical skills, including decision making, and reasoning skills
  • Effective cashiering skills, including pricing, calculation, including use of formulas, and algebra functions
  • Previous international travel experience, living in a foreign country or interaction with other cultures a plus.
  • Foreign language skills a definite plus

Compensation: $15.00/ hour
