The GSR works, on an on-call basis, the front desk and routine security duties during nights and weekends when the front desk is closed.


  • Check-in guests arriving outside of front desk hours
  • Respond to guest service calls including safety calls and basic needs (keys, fresh towels, etc.)
  • Walk the property and parking lot as security presence several times per day
  • Support and manage guests in the unlikely event of emergency and/or hotel evacuation


  • Proven track record of and commitment to superb customer service
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Friendly, outgoing, helpful, knowledgeable personality even in off hours
  • Strong communication skills
  • Dependability


  • Pay and benefits vary by location and hotel owner
  • GSRs are provided an on-site studio as well as local phone use and Wi-Fi internet at no cost (included in compensation)
  • GSRs are not paid while “on-call” and may spend time off-property but must carry a cell phone, pager, or other portable communication device at all times


  • Income Range: $8.50 - $10.00/hour
  • Experience: 2 - 5 years security and/or customer support
