Description

The Manager, Hyperion Planning Administrator will support the administration of the global Corporate Hyperion Planning (HFP) and Essbase applications including future enhancements. Planning administration support will include all integrations to and from the corporate planning application, monthly system and metadata maintenance, end user support and system enhancement needs based on business requirements.



What will I be doing?


The Manager, Hyperion Planning Administrator will support the global Corporate Hyperion Planning application and all applicable system and application touchpoints and integrations. The Manager will support the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as work directly with all business groups that utilize the Planning applications to gather ongoing requirements for end-user enhancements and changes. The Manager will also work with the functional users at the McLean Global Headquarters, as well as UK and the IT teams to determine the approach and viability of requested and necessary process changes.



Other key priorities are listed below:

  • Document current processes and controls, new system requirements and the creation of applicable testing scenarios for enhancements and system updates
  • Support global, ongoing user training to ensure all functional users understand the application capabilities delivered and how they are expected to perform their roles
  • Maintain Planning and Essbase applications across all active environments (Dev. Test and Prod.)
  • Manage integrations and perform validations from source systems (HFM PeopleSoft - GL Actuals, HPC CorpExp Application, Franchise Stats, and Hotel Application) and ensure source data flows downstream as required for Hyperion Planning applications
  • Maintain data integrity of data being extracted and uploaded into Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications
  • Develop various reports (Financial Reporting Studio and Smart View) and web forms as needed by the Financial and Planning Analysis (FPA) team
  • Perform monthly and daily maintenance of Planning applications including the execution and monitoring of extract and load processes
  • Maintain key processes used to support the consolidation and financial reporting for the business
  • Work with key stakeholders and departments, to support the activities of the department and project so objectives are accomplished
  • Enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the systems, department and Company
  • Interpret and analyze business requirements submitted on change requests for processing and ensure proper requirements have been detailed for the change and that business review and approval is captured
  • Support development activities including testing, validation and migration to ensure all updates are documented to meet SOX compliance and controls
  • Assist in developing project plans for capturing and converting financial information
  • Maintain financial information within various applications
  • Troubleshoot end user issues and training for end users

Requirements

What are we looking for?


To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of three (3) years of hands on Hyperion Planning and Essbase Management (HFP) experience, including Integrations tools (FDMEE)
  • Ability to analyze financial data and financial statements (P&L & Cash Flows)
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage details through to completion and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Knowledge of business mathematics, including the ability to calculate percentage changes, averages and weighted averages
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to understand and manipulate basic spreadsheets

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • MA/MS Master’s Degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience with Hyperion Planning Management (HFP) and Essbase
  • A minimum of one (1) year of Financial Planning and Analysis or Accounting experience
  • Knowledgeable of other Hyperion applications (EPMA, HFM, MDM etc.)
