Multi Property Revenue Analyst (Corporate Office)

 

REPORTS TO:                       

Regional Director of Revenue


REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

4 year college degree, Hospitality or Business major preferred

Minimum 3 years hotel experience

Minimum 5 CRS Implementations


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:      

Experience with hotel industry revenue/reservation systems and hotel property management systems preferred. The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access Database

Proficient at statistical and competitive analysis.

Knowledge of GDS and Internet booking channels and systems.

Understands revenue maximization theory and practice especially yield management and pricing.

Ability to perform critical analysis.

Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.

Manages time well, correctly prioritizes and is flexible

Detail-oriented.

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Act as the primary resource for implementation of newly added hotels or during transitions from one brand to another within the Kokua portfolio. 

  1. Reporting: Perform Daily and Weekly Group Pick-Up, Daily & Weekly Booking Pace, Shop Calls, Various Booking Pace Reports (i.e.: promotions, seasonal, etc.), Forecasts: (Operational & Financial), Month-end and Market Comparison Reports.
  2. Data entry into various systems, including Excel, assist in preparation of the monthly forecast reports, monthly displacement report, monthly transient historical trend reports, monthly no-show analysis reports and Demand Calendars
  3. Development of new reports, as needed, to assist in preparation for weekly revenue management meetings and to perform routine data analysis
  4. Maintain historical statistical data from all distribution channels. Analyze and present accurate picture of trends, demand and market conditions
  5. Monitor and analyze the competition daily and weekly through shop calls and Internet data gathering to identify selling strategies and market trends
  6. Maintain and enter accurate forecast and demand information into all systems
  7. Maintain/monitor group inventory in CRS. Monitor/follow-up group cut-off dates
  8. Accurate preparation and distribution of daily and weekly occupancy forecasts
  9. Provide administrative support for the Revenue Department to include:
    1. Generate documents in Word or Excel including weekly Revenue Management Meeting minutes
    2. Copying of reports for distribution and for the weekly revenue management meetings

Possesses knowledge of the hotel layout, facilities, and special services offered for each of our managed hotels

Possess a working knowledge of the guest loyalty programs and how they apply to group and non-group customers at each of our hotels

Maintain a working knowledge of sales, operations, and finance. Have a thorough understanding of the operational areas, guest patterns, demand periods and seasons for hotels assisting

Continually monitor all pertinent travel related websites to ensure competitiveness in both availability and price (parity) - Work with E-Commerce team to improve

Create rate codes and offering within the CRS/PMS systems as needed 

Ensure accuracy of cut-off dates, inventory, rates and group details

Participate within Group Pickup meetings to determine whether it is in the best interest of the hotel to accept group rooms over non-contracted dates/patterns/allotments, or after the cut-off date for assigned hotel(s) 

Assist accounting in investigating billing irregularities when requested

Maintain a working knowledge of revenue management principles by participating within revenue management and sales meetings.

Ensures work area is kept clean and orderly.

Performs related duties as requested and assigned by the Vice President of Profit Optimization.


APPEARANCE AND GROOMING:  All staff members are required to follow the guidelines set forth by the associate handbook.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, ability to write simple correspondence, ability to effectively present one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other staff members of the organization and hospitality community.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, and percentages and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.


REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished written, oral, or diagram form, ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and ability to address customer personalities in various business situations.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a staff member to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.  While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers, to handle and feel objects, tools controls and type; talk with and hear guests.  The staff member is occasionally required to stand and walk.  The staff member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  The specific vision abilities required are close vision.
