About This Job


Assist Director with operations management while ensuring the utmost in client and hotel management satisfaction. Provide learning and development opportunities for employees. Functions as secondary liaison with the rest of the property to handle any issues and to manage the overall success of the department.

Skill and Knowledge Requirements:

  • 2 or more years of audiovisual technical experience, including at least 2 year of previous supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of audiovisual equipment and company computer software and systems preferable.
  • Ability to lead team members and work effectively and efficiently with internal and external clients.

Job Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Supervises the daily floor activities and workflow of technicians to ensure that all equipment and services are delivered on time, in good working condition and as specified by clients and the hotel. Delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to clients by establishing excellent working relationships with every department. Mentor technicians to also provide this level of customer service.
  • Maintain a positive employee relations environment for all Audio Visual and Event Technology team members. Manage performance, address employee concerns, maintain adequate staffing levels, and facilitate team development. Lead by example in portraying a polished, professional image. 
  • Supervise security, inventory control, transportation and maintenance of equipment (ie. audio, visual, rigging, lighting, etc.) Ensure all employees are properly trained in all areas.
  • Attends BEO, Pre-Cons, and pre-production meetings as needed.
  • Makes sure all Audio Visual occupied areas are clean, organized, and up to company standards
  • Assist the Director in managing budget for increased revenue and controls expenses effectively including sub-rentals and labor
  • Assist with the coordination, negotiation, and distribution of high quality client event proposals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
