To help us accomplish this vision, we are looking for a Social Media and Online Presence Intern to manage our multiple social media streams in a way that helps us succeed both in our B2B and B2C efforts, as well as ensuring that the information available to our customers on the internet is accurate and up-to-date.  To grow our company, we must not only attract guests (people to park in our lots or use our valet services), but also clients (property owners who want us to manage their parking services).  Our Social Media Intern will have the opportunity to work directly with our Marketing Manager and our Director of Operations to drive marketing strategies in active, mobile technological environments that are flexible, effective, and dynamic.  Our Social Media Intern will be responsible for:

  • Creating and scheduling posts for our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn social media streams
  • Create brand awareness and recognition in the markets that we serve
  • Drive additional transient (daily/event parking) business through online reservations and other avenues
  • Manage comments and questions through our social media streams
  • Work with our online aggregator partners to ensure our information is up-to-date and pertinent.
  • Work with our Marketing Coordinator on Google AdWords, Google Analytics, and website design to effectively manage our online presence and visibility.

This position will work on a flexible schedule, though will be primarily Monday through Friday.  15-20 hours per week is anticipated, and the schedule will be flexible enough to work around most class schedules.  The position will also be managed remotely for the most part, with occassional meetings on and off campus as needed.

For the truly motivated candidate, this position can easily lead into a full-time position with the company as we are preparing for rapid growth over the next 1-2 years.

The ideal candidate for this position

  • Minimum of Junior standing in a college degree program, or has achieved a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a business or marketing related degree
  • Ownership of, or regular access to, a computer with internet access
  • Understanding of marketing principles
  • Ability to answer customer comments or questions within a reasonable time frame (typically 2 hours)
  • Graphic design knowledge or background is a plus

Compensation: 13.00/Hr
