Job Description

Essential Functions:

¨Must have complete knowledge of service time, menu, and specials.

¨Prepare, deliver and service orders.

¨Follow each steps of the Moments of Service when serving the guest

¨Always inquire if additional service is needed.

¨Responsible for each check.

¨Complete all side duties as assigned both opening and closing.

¨Must minimize breakage.

¨Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions.

Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

¨Keep track of guest name and room number in tracking sheet

¨Responsible for pre-bussing dirty dishes from tables

¨Maintaining the cleanliness of the Café, terrace and swimming pool area

¨Responsible for setup of the tables in the café and terrace.

¨Must consult with supervisor of any guest issues and must also write in log book.

¨Responsible for Set-up and breakdown of the Mind and Body room.

¨Service pool food and beverage orders.

¨Full understanding of the Omni Service Tradition program.

¨Knowledge of food and wine menu.

¨Take order for guests and ring up through micros.

¨Cross train as Pesca server assistant and El Colegio Bartender

¨Understanding of Medallia Scores and impact on service

¨Keep kitchen area clean and sanitary.

¨Communicate information on all guest orders.

Tools and Equipment:

¨Coffee maker/urn, beverage machines, cocktail trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, bus cart, telephone, pen/pencil, micros, tray jacks, large serving trays

¨Reach in refrigerator,

Working Environment:

¨Interior of hotel, in the cafe, kitchen and pool area.Exposure to extreme temperatures.

¨Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.

¨Exposure to food items and beverages.

Requirements

Must be able to work independently. 

TABC required.  

Basic bartending knowledge required.

Accessible rooms feature include enlarged door openings, grab bars available near toilet, shower and tub, toilet no higher than 29 inches from the floor, and available visual notification for hotel alarm system, door and phone.   Accessible rooms are also available with standard tub and shower combination or with a roll-in shower and tub.
