Looking for creative, multi talented chef to join our food & beverage team to create all food for our banquet department

Scope of this Position
- Position will be responsible for banquet preparation, supervising/managing/overseeing culinary team
- Requires a minimum of 2 year(s) of supervisory experience.
- Requires a minimum of 4 year(s) of experience.
- Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
- Position will be required to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and week-ends.
Requirements
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
- Develop new menu concepts. Prepare, test, and cost out new menu items. Maintain updated and accurate recipes and costing of all dishes prepared for banquet functions.
- Ensure that kitchen is prepared for the following day's work. Ensure that all equipment is in proper operational condition and is cleaned on a regular basis. Assist in determining the minimum and maximum stocks of all food, cooking supplies, and equipment.
Technical Requirements:
- Utilize a hands-on approach to training and developing kitchen staff.
- Ability to instill safety and sanitation habits in all employees.
- Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
- Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently.
- Experience in production techniques of large banquets.
- Banquet experience serving very discriminating and demanding groups.
- Consistently check line plating and quality.
- Inventory control skills.
- Ability to prepare a variety of cuisine's, using skill and creativity.
- Supervise daily food preparation for assigned areas.
- Experience developing innovative banquet menus.
- Approves purchase requisitions and maintains equipment and supplies.
- Experience developing schedules.
- Some experience in budgeting, food cost, labor costs, and scheduling helpful.
- Prep, stock, and rotate line to ensure ample supply of products is maintained.
