HighPeaksResort inLake Placid,New York is seeking a Food and Beverage Director who is a creative and bold thinker that can turn our Food and Beverage operation into an amazing culinary experience for our guests. We are a full-service, independent resort hotel located in an area renowned for its scenic beauty, recreational opportunities in all seasons, and rich Olympic history.  The ideal candidate for this position is a dynamic and outgoing proven leader with the ability to build, motivate and train a food and beverage team that is passionate about guest service and able to deliver an experience second to none.

Responsibilities include leadership and oversight of all food and beverage outlets, kitchens, and banquet operations. The successful candidate will be a hands-on manager who is able to analyze information and execute a plan for creating a completely unique concept, ensuring proper staffing, training, exceptional food quality, sales growth, cost management, and profit maximization.  Our Food and Beverage Director will work closely with her/his management team and the Marketing Director to develop promotions and implement creative ideas that will drive revenue and growth.  This is an opportunity to build an operation that will wow our guests and ensure the highest level of quality and service.

Specific position requirements include a minimum of five years experience in Food and Beverage management in a hotel/resort environment, a positive team player attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to handle multiple duties under pressure, and to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.  A love of the outdoors, snowy winter weather, and living in a remote resort location is essential.
