Job Overview:

The Project Managers core responsibility is to manage each assigned project team to ensure each project is managed and completed successfully.  Each of these assigned projects may include any combination of managing the following scope of work:

  • Site Selection
  • Leasing
  • Zoning
  • Construction services

Project Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete each assigned project within budget.
  • Complete each assigned project within designated schedule
  • Prepare project documentation in a timely fashion, in an accurate manner and consistent with company standards and/or client’s standards.
  • Utilize Project Management software or comparable method of tracking the status of each assigned project.
  • Manage project team resources, including but not limited to employees and subcontractors, properly
  • Accurately manage project accounting and reporting
  • Prepare project closeout and documentation thoroughly
  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction on each assigned project
  • To assess risk and change direction as necessary to avoid potential losses
  • Is current on OSHA safety training, regulation changes, construction code/regulations and Insurance requirements and regulations.

 

 

Telecommunication Project Manager Skills and Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience 

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in construction/management; or four to six years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals as well as the ability to generate routine reporting.  Also must be able to effectively speak, present information to customers, clients, tenants, employees and management.

 

Mathematical Skills

Project manager must have the ability to work with concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Also should have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.  Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.  Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

Valid Department of Motor Vehicle Driver's License and certification in 10-hour OSHA construction course.

Travel/Time Commitment

Travel may be required on a regular basis. A commitment is required to attend meetings and overtime maybe be required depending on workload and job schedules.
