Support a fast growing, multi branded Hotel Management Company and a Real Estate Investment Trust in the acquisition and development of key assets as well as the evaluation of new growth opportunities.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare request for Proposal for design team.
  • Evaluate RFP for suitability and make consultant recommendations.

  • Negotiate .final contract terms with consultants

  • Prepare and monitor the project development schedule.

  • Evaluate and comment on functional hotel design done by design team.

  • Coordinate design standards and comments received from the operator.

  • Review and implement operator's differential agreement.

  • Monitor the preparation of construction documents.

  • Coordinate the quantity surveyor preparing the construction budget.

  • Update the financial model for the project to reflect costing and/or program changes.

  • Coordinate the bidding process for general contractors or a construction manager.

  • Monitor construction progress and quality on behalf of the Client.

  • Evaluate and negotiate changes to the construction contract.

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values. 

  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.

  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3 years related development experience.
  • Ability to Utilize STR reports, P&L's and balance sheets to develop supportable projections
  • Mastery of Excel is critical.
  • Experience as a hotel accountant or with one of the major hotel consultant or valuation firms and contract negotiations are a major plus.

Work Environment and Context. 

  • Requires travel to sites that are under construction. 
  • Includes travel to hotel locations throughout the country.
  • Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate keyboard.
