The beautiful Hilton Garden Inn By Hilton Norwalk Connecticut is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to ensure the achievement of profit objectives within the Housekeeping, Front Office and Food & Beverage Department.
This position will also act as the Manager on Duty for the property in the absence of General Manager and supervises the Rooms and Food & Beverage Management Teams while holding each member accountable for the success of their department. He/She will assume responsibility for operating the property within the Company's Operating Procedures and through effective implementation of the Brand and Company's Standard Operating Procedures while achieving guest satisfaction objectives.
Essential functions for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Observes staff performance, conducts various evaluations such as room inspections, and coordinates
action plans for all areas found deficient. Tracks progress and follow up to ensure all areas meet or exceed
established standards. Oversees the Brand Standard audit and follows up with all relevant areas to ensure
- Implements and manages hotel's daily quality process including goal communication, staff member
empowerment, compliance with Brand Standards, service recovery, and problem prevention. Disseminates
feedback from comment cards, guest satisfaction and service failure measurements, and coaches
accordingly. Ensures efficient communication to all operations team members.
- Coaches, motivates and develops all supervisors and team members.
- Manages and reviews daily, weekly and monthly department budgets and costs.
- Organizes, conducts, and/or participates in scheduled meetings held throughout the hotel.
- Analyzes monthly statement of operations and prepares written comments regarding the monthly statement
of operations for the General Manager's review.
Previous experience as Assistant General Manager/ is required with a strong hotel operations background.
Hilton Brand Experience required.
Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
