The Radisson Mart Plaza Hotel was built in 1984 and was acquired in 1997 by South Florida Hotel, Inc. Renovations have recently taken place in all the rooms, the lobby, the meeting spaces and public areas. The hotel is located near the airport and the airport business centers. It is rated 3 stars by Mobil and 3 Diamonds by AAA. For the last four consecutive years, management has received the President’s Award by Radisson which is based on superior customer satisfaction.
The hotel consists of 10 Junior Suites, 4 Conference Suites, 1 Honeymoon Suite, 2 Penthouse Suites, 1 Presidential Suite, 9 Conference Rooms, 183 King and 124 Doubles; for a total of 334 rooms. The hotel has a Plaza Club, located on the 11th floor, that serves continental breakfast and has a daily happy hour.
Dining facilities consist of Traders for brunch, lunch or dinner, Traders Outpost for fast food and Au Bon Pain for breakfast and lunch or the afternoon need for coffee and a cookie, and of course Room Service. Cascade Bar is open for happy hour and cocktails daily.
There is health club facility open to guests only on the 2nd floor, as well as tennis and racquet ball courts. The pool is located outside, next to the lobby.
One of the properties most unique features is the Merchandise Mart. The Mart is a wholesale trade market, open to qualified retail buyers that consists of 300 stores and showrooms. You can find fashion accessories, apparels for the whole family, shoes, gifts, decorative accessories and much more.
Next to the Mart you’ll find the Radisson Center which specializes in large trade shows, fashion shows as well as many other events. |
