Coordinates and serves as a lead or working supervisor on complex maintenance and repair services of property or facility systems such as mechanical, electrical, and building systems. May assist in performing quality review and review of employee and subcontractor work. Works with minimal supervision and applies an expert skill in a particular area such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
Performs basic repairs and preventive maintenance on property or facility equipment and systems, including plumbing and electrical systems. Repairs or replaces electrical switches, receptacles, fuses, small light fixtures, and vacuum outlets. Adjusts thermostats to maintain desired temperature. Hangs pictures, bulletin boards, cabinets. May do light painting and other miscellaneous work.
The Chief Engineer will participate in effective safety programs; coordinate and implement capital improvement projects; establish, maintain and manage department budgets and monthly forecasts; protect the Hotel from losses, claims, and liabilities. Responsible for and assisting with all aspects of the Engineering Department to include but not limited to, maintaining all facilities, equipment, furniture, fixtures and systems at the highest quality standards.
