TITLE Staff Accountant 

Atlantic Hotels Management is looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our group as a Staff Accountant. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is a requirement. This position reports directly to the Controller.

Atlantic Hotel Management is a rapidly growing asset management company that relies heavily on accurate property accounting to ensure investments are making their targeted returns.

Accountants are responsible for 4-5 properties at any time. Here is a breakdown of the typical duties that a property account at Atlantic Hotels is responsible for:

Weekly reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card transactions

Weekly review of GL coding of invoices in accounts payable and making payments to vendors via credit card

Monthly preparation of Financial Statements including Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, Trial balance and Statement of Cash Flows. We aim to have final financials by the 10th of each month. 

Work closely with the property General Managers and Regional Managers to correct any financial issues.

Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations

Monthly tax Sales & Use and Hotel occupancy tax filings

Quarterly reporting for loans, taxes, etc.

Yearly income tax return filings and appropriate year-end adjustments to the financials to ensure taxes are filed timely


Microsoft suites skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Strong analytic background

Attention to detail

Able to work within deadlines using time management skills

The ability to work with a high level of autonomy and with team members

A Bachelors or greater in accounting or a related field

Has a grasp of the full accounting cycle (bank reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable, pre-paid, etc.)

Experience with M3 Accounting software is a plus

Hospitality experience is a plus
