Security Officer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION(S):

Employees of Bluejack National ensure that the highest level of service is offered to members and 

guests by providing personal, gracious and professional service. As a Bluejack Security Officer, you 

will assist in providing a positive, professional security presence by offering superior customer service 

experiences while maintaining a fun and safe environment. 

Job duties will include checking in members, guests, contractors, employees, and others entering and 

exiting the property; patrolling interior and exterior areas of assigned locations; observe and report 

suspicious activities and persons; write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports 

(DARs); enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the Club and HOA; and respond to 

emergency situations requiring security assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Security Officer

• Prepare reports
• Take Messages
• Use oral and/or written communication techniques
• Communicate details in protective service settings
• Enforce rules, regulations, and ordinances
• Investigate complaints, disturbances, or violations
• Authorize entry or exit of individuals
• Manage detailed records or files in security setting
• Monitor entrance and/or exit of persons
• Patrol or guard area or premises
• Maintain production or work records
• Explain rules, policies, or regulations
• Recognize rules, policies, or regulations
• Recognize public safety hazards
• Patrol, on foot or via cart, parking lots, common areas, and HOA/Club facilities to ensure resident and guest safety
• Report security issues to management and appropriate authorities
• Write reports on security incidents
• Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Level II/III Security License from the Texas Private Security Bureau
• Physically able to stand for long periods/walk long distances and up and down stairs
• Flexibility with days and hours available to work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Skills and Abilities:

• Applicant must possess a passion for providing high quality Member service and commitment to exceeding expectations
• Excellent human relations skills, with a talent for motivating staff and members
• Requires excellent oral and written communications skills 
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Good organizational skills with the ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Computer literate, possessing skills in JONAS, Microsoft Office and Outlook, including word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Ability to function under pressure, set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
• High work ethic, with sense of responsibility for the role filled within our team
• Must be able to stay organized and work independently
• Creativity, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Applicant must exhibit a professional appearance

Approximate schedule and hours:

• 40 hours or more, per week. Weekdays, weekends and Holidays. Schedule flexible.
• Full Time or Part Time 

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying

• This position requires an above average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching and standing.
• Should be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Bending/Kneeling

• This position requires an above average amount of physical labor such as bending, stooping, walking, reaching and standing. This position requires this type of activity throughout the day.
• This position requires office and computer time, and thus, there can also be extended periods at a desk
