Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room status and guest concerns. File guest paperwork or documentation. Operate telephone switchboard station. Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate. Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers. Perform the duties of setting tables, serving beverages, table maintenance and stocking stations to ensure guest satisfaction.
Assists the Front Office Manager in administering front office functions and supervising staff on a daily basis. Front office areas include Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard and Guest Services/Front Desk. Position directs and works with managers and employees to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient check in and check out process. Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department.
Greet guests and determine the number in their party. Seat guests by finding a clean, available table; pulling out chairs; placing clean/current menu in front of guest, etc. Guide guests through the dining rooms and provide any needed assistance. Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs. Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting. Check menus to ensure they are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures. Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well being of guests.

Manages and coordinates capital and operating projects assigned to the Engineering division. Oversees the bid process, city coordination, contractors and billing to ensure the successful execution of all assigned projects. Manages ongoing and daily performance of consultants, vendors, suppliers and contractors. Develops and manages project timelines to verify project execution goals are achieved and to minimize negative effects on guest experience.

Maintains program knowledge by attending planning meetings, conference calls, reviewing group resumes and banquet event orders (BEO’s) prior to group arrival. Partners with Conference planning team to verify issues are identified and resolved. Attends planning visits, welcome receptions, tie-down meetings, any internal meetings related to security, parking or production. Proactively resolves potential meeting or room set issues. Utilizes available resources to meet client requests or resolve client issues. Verifies that room requirements such as lighting, temperature, AV equipment, and room set meet client expectations.
Designs and produces marketing materials including, but not limited to, advertisements, collateral, signage, flash pieces, electronic brochures and presentations to drive hotel revenue.
