A day in the life of the Director of Conference Services and Catering at the Hotel Nia, Autograph Collection has you involved in a variety of tasks and working with a number of team members and customers. While everyday has a routine, no two here are ever quite the same.
Greet, register and service guests in a friendly and courteous manner according to hotel/brand and sustainability standards.
Sell and service banquet and meeting functions in order to achieve catering department goals.
Provide quality barista services in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.
Set up, tend and break down banquet bars in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.
Set up banquet rooms and serve food and/or beverages in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.
Supervise front desk operations in accordance with established guest service, quality and sustainability standards.
Manage operation of the Conference Services Department overseeing coordination of conference and meeting groups in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.
Clean and maintain guest rooms to ensure rooms meet established standards.
Supervise restaurant operations in accordance with brand/hotel guest service and sustainability standards, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.
Senior Group Sales Manager – Hotel Nia, Marriott Autograph Collection
Assist the Executive Chef in the preparation of food and oversight of kitchen operations in accordance with established food quality, guest service and sustainability standards.
Prepare and service bars operating within the hotel in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.
Supervise housekeeping staff ensuring brand/hotel guest service and sustainability standards are met.
Effectively lead and control housekeeping operations and staff, ensuring hotel rooms and public spaces are clean and well maintained in accordance with brand and/or HHM operations and financial standards. Create a work environment whereby housekeeping staff feels genuinely valued and appreciated for their efforts that are critical to creating an overall positive experience for the guests.
Manage general and preventative maintenance functions to ensure guest service and sustainability standards are achieved and maintained throughout the hotel structure.
