Hotel Encanto is searching for an experienced, self motivated individual to fill the position of Dir. of Food & Beverage. This position is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities of the food and beverage department at the property. The Food & Beverage Director shall also oversee marketing initiatives, budgeting, P&L analysis, point of sales systems and multi-unit food service operations. Applicant must have at least 2-4 years of progressive experience as a Food & Beverage Manager/Director in the hospitality industry, Must be able to demonstrate ability to create and execute business operational and marketing plans. Must have excellent customer service and computer skills. Will be required to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. the position requires strong organizations skills and ability to adapts to changing priorities and schedules. Develop short and long term operational and financial plans for the food and beverage department. Communicate financial information to General Manager on a regular basis, including up-to-date budget information and revenue growth programs. Must be able to achieve budgeted revenues, control costs (which include labor, food, maintenance, etc) and maximize profitability related to the facility operations. Must take an active role in sales, business and marketing plans by surveying the market to know guest needs,, to increase covers and increase liquor sales. Prepare the annual budget for all food and beverage operations to include Garduno's, Azul Lounge, the banquet department and the kitchen facilities. Inspect and taste prepared foods on a daily basis to ensure quality ingredients food presentations and recipes meet standards. Conduct regular food an beverage meetings, providing objectives and constructive feed back to the team members. Develop consistent training within the food and beverage departments/outlets in order to provide quality service to guests and customers. Hotel Encanto is looking for a true culinary leader that will help us create a new and exciting concept for the hotel restaurant and will bring passion and energy to the dinning scene of Las Cruces. This individual will provide leadership and direction to drive guests and team member engagement, achieve operational and financial excellence and uphold brand standards ensuring quality and consistency. The executive Chef is responsible for oversight of all culinary operations in the hotel including a new la carte restaurant, Azul Bar and Lounge, In-Room Dinning and Banquet Departments.
