Description

The Joule, a boutique hotel at the heart of Downtown Dallas is an artfully delivered experience with first class dining and catering service.

The Mirador Culinary Intern will have the opportunity to learn and work side-by-side with executive chefs and various culinary ambassadors and utilize learning environment to establish strong base for the development of a career in the culinary field.

Job Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Develop basic knife skills via assistance to the prep team
  • Develop understanding of basic storage, ordering and management/maintenance of produce
  • Learn the general operations of the kitchen via support and apprenticeship to the kitchen chef

Skill and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Able to hold a knife
  • Strong work ethic
  • Receptive to direct and constructive criticism
  • Eagerness to explore and ask questions for advance development
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 24 hours per week
  • Willingness to learn and passion and dedication to the craft
