Job overview

Provide housekeeping services to all guest areas, sleeping rooms and public areas according to the established policies and procedures to ensure exceptional quality in housekeeping standards and Hotel appearance, enhancing the guest experience.

Requirements

Education Requirements:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge and skills to perform the job.  High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Individual must be able to perform the following duties with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Able to follow oral and written instructions, directions and meet deadlines, including thorough cleaning of 17 credits in allotted time.
  • Able to communicate effectively with other employees and guests.
  • Understand the English language sufficiently to read and interpret labels, instructions and basic guest requests.
  • Use both arms simultaneously, extending and reaching arms in front of body and overhead as well as repetitive pushing, pulling, bending, squatting and kneeling.

Working Environment:

  • Inside, weather protected environment that involves:
  • Constant and frequent interruptions from people and noise in surrounding areas.
  • Physical activities may include walking, use of stairs and elevators, standing, pushing and pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching and lifting.
  • Repetitive motion of the hands and wrists as related to cleaning functions and transporting supplies to/from guest rooms.
  • Use both arms simultaneously, extending and reaching arms in front of body and over head.
  • Able to work alone and in a team.
  • Neat, clean and groomed personal hygiene is required for this position.
  • Push and pull up to 100 pounds using wheeled cart.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
