Directs and organizes the activities of the Food & Beverage departments to maintain the high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service. Plans and directs the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation. Implements effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs. Ensures compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards. Helps ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.
What will I be doing?
This position will require extensive ability and knowledge in the areas of service, management, as well as the ability to address and respond to guest's needs and potential challenges during the course of day/evening. Manager must have extensive experience working in a luxury dining atmosphere. Manager will provide input in the area of wine selection, menu content, guest relations, and ongoing business development.
The essential hospitality standards must be used at all times: eye contact, smile, speak first, engage in polite conversation, and use the guest's surname!
Profit and loss analysis and a general understanding of financial responsibility.
Review the hotel’s VIP guests staying at the hotel and identify VIP and special occasion guests. Must have the ability to acquaint his/her self with repeat hotel guests/local VIP's, this information must be communicated to the team member/hostess responsible for the greeting of VIP's
During the course of a shift, Manager will be required to address all guest's challenges and needs, requiring this position to possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, as well as strength in problem solving.
