Line Cook: Full Time, Mid-Level Experience Preferred

Job Summary of Line Cook

The Line cook reports to the Executive Sous-Chef or in the absence of the Executive Sous Chef, then the Executive Chef, and is responsible for the following:  Getting the line set-up with all the necessary mise en place. Maintain a high quality standard in food production. Ensure that all food items are fresh and prepared to the direction of our guests. To enlist the help of others if necessary and follow recipes. Maintain a great sense of team work and keep the kitchen clean.  

Responsibilities and Duties of Line Cook

  • Fill out prep sheets and maintain an acceptable par level.
  • Check quality of food on a daily basis.
  • Set up the line with all the mise en place.
  • Work closely with the front of the house and stewards.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and storage area organized.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef or Chef De Cuisine
  • In accordance with CopperWynd’s commitment to total customer service and satisfaction must have a professional, service oriented attitude at all times.

Qualifications and Skills of Line Cook

  • Two year prior cooking experience required.
  • Food Handlers card.
  • Own your personal knives. (Preferable)
  • Must have high degree of customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal communications.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Position will require performance of duties both inside and outside.
  • Must be able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to Lift and carry up to 50 pounds including plates and trays.


Prep Cook: Full Time, Mid-Level Experience Preferred

Job Summary

Reports to the Executive Sous-Chef or in the absence of the Executive Sous Chef, then the Executive Chef, and is responsible for the following:  As a Prep Cook, you will ensure the highest quality food is prepared per the exact recipe specifications at all times from our “scratch” kitchen. The Prep Cook is responsible for all aspects of their assigned station – completes all items on the daily preparation list; keeps the Line Cooks stocked with basic, critical items throughout the shift; and cleans, sanitizes, and maintains equipment, utensils and tools.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3 months restaurant experience preferred and a Food Handlers Card
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Must be able to work quickly in a confined area and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Basic English reading and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to work in elevated temperatures.
  • Continuous use of hands and arms.
  • Continuous bending, reaching and twisting.

Completes other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef or Chef De Cuisine
