Job Description:

The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing overall operations and revenue at the assigned hotel properties in accordance with the policies and brand standards of the company.

Key will be the ability to:

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet goals in the areas of Revenue Generation, Market Share Performance, Guest Satisfaction Scores, Guest Reviews and Net Operating Income.
  • Coach, mentor and guide a group of Hotel General Managers and Department Heads.
  • Act as a liaison between management and the property leaders and guarantee that the quality of all products and services are consistent and up to company and brand standards.
  • Ensure that operating objectives as outlined by the company and operational goals, as well as financial results, are achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day to day support to assigned hotel properties including but not limited to ensuring that all staffing levels are met and to make arrangements to ensure such.
  • Stand-in as interim GM when needed at each assigned hotel properties.
  • Assist GM with employee recruitment, retention, and terminations.
  • Conduct performance reviews of GM(s) and assist GM(s) in accomplishing performance reviews of each department heads.
  • Train, coach, and mentor all GM(s) and ensure all brand standards are in compliance with all departments and completed brand standard update training.
  • Participate in all Brand meetings including QE, Focus, and Revenue
  • Participate in weekly Revenue calls
  • Set objectives and goals; set procedures to ensure achievement of those goals
  • Assist in preparing the annual operating budgets and forecasts for assigned hotel locations.
  • Evaluate use and cost of resources through reliable feedback systems and implement to reduce expenses and improve profitability.
  • Improve existing work environment, processes, procedures and systems.
  • Create new strategies, plans, methods and procedures to comply with change and updates to Brand standards and technologies.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with management through weekly reports, daily calls and/or in-person meetings.
  • Administer regular meetings with GM, department heads and staff at each assigned hotel properties.
  • Visit each company-owned hotel minimum once a week and based on need.
  • Review all payroll reports, state, county, and city inspection reports and ensure correctness of any deficiencies.
  • Requirements: Three to five years’ experience as a General Manager, Regional general manager, or Director of operations in Branded and boutique hotels.
  • High Ethical standards, analytical ability, and an excellent communicator.
  • Diverse experiences in Revenue management, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Accounting and Human resources.
  • Computer literacy and technology friendly.
  • Decisive, educated facilitator experienced in resolving conflicts between parties and in dispute.
  • A highly organized person with skills and knowledgeable in time management and to use technology tools to increase efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership and active listening skills with the ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Ability to effectively review, assess and modify processes and procedures.
