The Vice President of Human Resources is a member of OTO’s executive leadership team with direct oversight of strategic planning and implementation of companywide people initiatives, talent acquisition, learning & development, onboarding processes, benefit planning, employee engagement and labor relations for a rapidly growing and highly successful multi state (including CA) development hotel development & management company.
The successful candidate will provide leadership, internal consulting and support to advance and implement effective initiatives and best practices aligned with OTO’s goals and Guiding Principles. The VP leads a team of HR professionals who are responsible for their respective areas, functions, programs and systems. In addition, the VP is part of the Johnson Group’s working committee on organizational development & corporate initiatives that reinforce our Guiding Principles and help to find synergies across the companies. Requirements include expertise in multi-state employment law, employment compliance, labor relations, performance management, conflict resolution, human resources policies and procedures, compensation and benefits, workers compensation, Mergers & acquisitions, and state/federal employment law.
The VPHR builds partnerships with all levels of employees across the company. Organizational credibility and business knowledge are keys to success in this position, along with the ability to thrive in an environment of both strategy and active hands-on execution.
