Front Office Manager
Historic La Playa Hotel is seeking a Front Office Manager for our beautiful location to provide leadership and direction to our Front Office Team, including Guest Service Agents, Bell Staff, Night Audit, and Concierge.

Managing the annual budget for the front office departments, review monthly P&L reports, monitoring labor costs to budget, comparing payroll projections to actual rooms
Processing biweekly payroll and submitting timely Overtime or Payroll reports as needed and ensure all deadlines are met.
Lead by example, greeting all guests with a sincere smile and appropriate greeting.
Ensure Key Security Policies are executed and maintained.
Assist with running daily shift meetings, stand up’s, monthly departmental meetings, etc.
Assist in managing staffing levels
Work alongside GM to review and execute training materials, monitor testing, coaching, mentoring, and recognition tools.
Monitor daily room inventory.
Attend weekly manager’s meeting and communicate pertinent messages to Management, as well as attend Department Meetings, and other meetings as requested.
Ensure all aspects of VIP Guest Loyalty Programs are executed.
Lead department goal planning, continuous improvement projects, and recurring training efforts.
Empower team and self to handle difficult guest situations and guest challenges to ensure satisfactory results for all concerned, ensure and maintain positive associate morale.
Implement new hotel procedures, as necessary, under the direction of the General Manager. Perform Manager-On-Duty shifts and all associated functions of that position including, but not limited to, reporting and handling guest complaints.
Other hotel supportive functions which may include Sales blitzes, inspecting guest suites, relieve front office departments for breaks/lunches, etc.
• Minimum of 3 years related management level experience within the hospitality industry
• Ability to be available, as needed, for all shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Experience with related PMS computer programs. INFOR a plus.
• College degree preferred
