About This Job

What you will be doing

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts in his/her market segments to include Association and Government, rooms and catering business.  He/she is also responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/territory to positively impact hotel revenues.

The ideal candidate for this position

  • Will approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes proper dress. 
  • Will establish a client base of organizations, associations, social, and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales effort for the purpose of securing business for the hotel to ensure that established sales goals are met or exceeded.
  • Develops and maintain relationships with key clients in order to produce group and/ or convention business.
  • Negotiates guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines, and will confirm in writing to the client all requirements via sales contract.
  • Conducts tours of the hotel and function facilities; entertain qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures.
  • Assists the Director of Sales with the implementation and achievement of the Marketing plan.
  • Attends and represents company at trade shows and networking events.
  • Will meet or exceed established goals for sales activities, including prospecting and outside sales calls.
  • Initiates and follow up on leads with a sense of urgency.
  • Evaluates trends within your market  and has knowledge of your competition.
  • Conducts a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients, exhibiting key features and benefits of the hotel.
  • Meets and greet onsite contacts.
  • Attends meetings/training as required by management
  • Has Hilton and Delphi experience.
  • Will exceed given sales goals by consistently closing business.

Job requirements

  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to prioritize departmental functions to meet due dates and deadlines.

 

Compensation: 47,000-50,000
