Success awaits a hands-on, personable, motivated, professional Senior Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is an experienced, high-energy and empowered individual who will proactively provide constant support to the Sales & Marketing team as well other necessary areas of operations.
Responsible for selling and promoting the services of a luxury four-star hotel in Brooklyn to maximize revenue through various sales actions including phone solicitation, in-person meetings, participation at trade shows and other sales actions.
Pursue business in corporate market segments in order to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Knowledge of the RFP process. Target business travel by using Agency360 in order to identify new business targets in an extremely hot and in-demand area.
Leverage existing relationships, identify new business partners, and pursue growth companies that have guest room potential.
Ability to plan and schedule effectively.
Schedule corporate account visits to win/sway business. Ability to conduct presentations to key decision makers and close business opportunities.
Organize and implement area sales blitzes, active in industry events.
Travel as required.
Perform other duties as requested by ownership and management.
Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Maintain a high level of professionalism in appearance and manner at all times.
Ability to communicate well with vendors and guests.
Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Requires the exercise of considerable managerial skill as position involves frequent decisions, meeting of deadlines, negotiations of contracts of vendors, analytical ability and the planning, organization development and coordination of large-scale projects.
Ability to be mobile for significant distances between and within buildings on the property.
Ability to observe performance and detect signs of emergency situations and respond with proper action.
Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals. Strong negotiating skills.
Must have working knowledge of reservations and front office to take full advantage of their sales opportunities.
Must have the ability to communicate in English
Knowledge of Delphi, and other industry applications is a plus.
Records maintenance skills.
Skill in the use of PC, including strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
