The purpose of this position is to establish a remarkable first impression with all guests. In this position, you will be the main point of contact for guests throughout their stay. The Guest Host reports directly to the Front Office Manager. Essential hospitality & customer service standards must be used at all times: eye contact, smile, speak first, and engage in polite conversation (if time permits).
-Welcome & check in guests in our one of a kind lobby
-Provide knowledgeable recommendations for guests about hotel events, amenities, local attractions, restaurants, etc.
-Manage all aspects of our reservations system
-Upsell room types, dinner reservations & spa appointments
-Acknowledge special occasions with guests; weddings, birthdays, anniversary, etc. Providing room upgrades and amenities when applicable
-Answer the phone, make reservations, take and distribute messages or mail and redirect calls
-Respond to guest challenges and find the appropriate resolution in a professional and timely manner
-Excellent communication skills

-Ability to multitask in a high paced environment while maintaining organization and poise

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. while using proper lifting techniques and equipment
