About This Job

Position Purpose:  Responsible for leading programming at Heritage University.  Creates, produces and presents curriculum developed specifically for Heritage Hotels & Resorts using multiple modalities such as classroom, computer based and one-on-one approaches; delivered to a varied audience of staff, management and executives.  Prepares and assembles training materials for upcoming presentations. Provides training support and applies industry standards to include assessment, design, development, delivery and evaluation in support of Heritage Hotels and Resorts.

Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Oversees and directs curriculum development and effective training programs
  • Meets with managers and department heads to determine training needs and schedule training sessions
  • Conduct individual training, group training and workshops
  • Prepare educational materials
  • Maintains attendance and other records
  • Manages training budgets
  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement
  • Monitor associate performance, response to training, and training follow-up
  • Evaluate the outcomes of training and maintain records


  • Preferred - Two (2) years of hospitality experience or a background of training & development of diverse groups; or equivalent experience; luxury branded experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally maintains stationary position sitting; frequently stands in work area to greet and assist guests.

Constantly converses and exchanges information with guests and coworkers.

Frequently bends over, crawls, reaches, crouches, kneels, balances, pushes, and pulls, to access items for guest or for guest rooms, or to maintain housekeeping inventory and office equipment such as copiers and printers.

Frequently moves up to 50 pounds

Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as radios, calculators, copiers, telephones, fax machines, and printers
