Job overview

If you are an experienced Banquet Event Specialist with a proven track record of success and a desire to work in a fun, fast-paced atmosphere, this position could be for you.

The primary responsibility of the Banquet Event Specialist is to develop existing business, solicit new business and secure quality events that maximize the profitability of the William Penn Inn. The Banquet Event Specialist's duties include, but are not limited to, client meetings, food tastings and planning event themes, Caterease entry and management, proper execution of BEO's, contracts, securing deposits, final payments, administrative duties and follow up.

Requirements

Our ideal banquet sales specialist possesses the following characteristics:

  • Detail-oriented 
  • Posses a strong knowledge of service, food and beverage. 
  • At least two years of sales/event management experience with at least two years of high volume wedding sales/event experience. 
  • Ability to organize and execute "from start to finish" is a must. 
  • Must be computer proficient and able to work with a computerized catering program. Experience with caterease is a plus. 
  • Must be available to work holidays and weekends.

Compensation: $35K - $40K
