Opportunity: People Support (HR) Coordinator

Ground floor opportunity to grow your career in human resources by joining a centralized team of HR professionals dedicated to servicing over 5,000 hospitality professionals who serve our guests in over 115 hotels in 20 states from coast to coast. Initially, you will provide administrative support to the Benefits Manager, Director of Learning & Development, and other leaders in our collective effort to create and maintain employment experiences consistent with our core values.

Essential Job Functions

General People Support (HR) Functions

  • Enter new hire data into the Human Resources Information System (UltiPro).
  • Create internal digital/print materials as directed for a variety of People Support programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate internal and external community service programs across corporate offices and hotels (United Way, Autism Speaks, etc.)

Benefit Support Functions

  • Administer benefit enrollment processes related to new joiners and the annual benefit open enrollment period which includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability plans, and more.
  • Assist with benefit communications as directed, including preparing creative posters, notices and emails.
  • Perform other tasks related to benefit administration, compliance and reporting.
  • Willingly and politely assist associates with benefit questions.
  • Review fully insured benefit invoices for accuracy for manager’s review and final approval.
  • Assist with the administration of the 401(k) program.

Learning & Development Support Functions

  • Assist in planning and execution of training workshops and events.
  • Over time, design training materials and presentations with the use of PowerPoint, e-learning software, video, and other resources.
  • As requested, present training modules upon certification of ability to effectively deliver basic programs.  
  • Survey, track, analyze, and present participant feedback on L&D programs and initiatives.

Position Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma/GED required.
  • Previous HR internship or general office experience preferred.
  • Ability to create quality presentations and communications using a variety of mediums.
  • Highly proficiency with PowerPoint and proficient with Excel.

Work Environment and Context

  • Requires sitting or standing for extended periods, use of hands and fingers to operate computers and keyboards. Able to see, hear and speak.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
