Hilton Supply Management (HSM) uses their expertise to forecast and proactively manage our property’s supply chains, so hotel employees can focus on what’s important – the guest experience. With more than 6,000 hotels in our program (including over 1,500 non-Hilton-branded hotels), HSM drives massive economies of scale and negotiates competitive contracts with industry-leading suppliers – ensuring direct savings on the products their hotel partners use most.


What will I be doing?

Reporting to the VP, Business Services and Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for developing and leading an extraordinary, integrated Source to Contract organization with exceptional capabilities within a complex organization via a customer-focused, collaborative process. You will work alongside key partners to successfully create a long-term strategy to sustain and reduce total cost of ownership.


More specifically, you will:
  • Analyze market data to make actionable insights, support decision-making and develop a category in sourcing strategies
  • Deploy a structured and prioritized approach to realize and sustain lower total cost of ownership in partnership with the appropriate customers and supply base
  • Analyze supplier data to identify trends and support decision-making
  • Develop, lead and administer awarded contracts throughout their life cycle
  • Responsible for business solutions, execution, people leadership, people development, financial results, and innovative processes
  • Model a collaborative working relationship with all internal partners (Resupply, Field Operations, Projects, and Corporate Spend)
  • Continually improve the processes and performance of the department, including long range planning and introduction of new capabilities and strategies
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges
  • Enhance, develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the overall operation and effectiveness of HSM
  • Develop the appropriate objectives for the business and directs the methodologies by which those objectives are going to be accomplished
  • Provide direction and directives to the departmental team members in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities and in achieving management objectives
  • Execute directives of organization’s mission, goals and objectives and demonstrates through ongoing and direct motivation, communication, group dynamics and leadership
  • Develop high-performance teams, preparing a succession plan for key positions
  • Partner with recruiting to resolve hiring needs
  • Partner with direct reports to accomplish department initiatives and career objectives
  • Translate organizational goals and objectives into performance standards for division, departments and individual positions
  • Assess actual performance against standards to determine whether the department is on target to reach its goals and takes corrective actions as necessary
  • Ensure business plan and goals are being followed and achieved, providing feedback or revising the plan, if needed
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company
  • Evaluate supplier performance within targeted markets, monitor return on investment
  • Review/adjust activities and expenses throughout the fiscal year to ensure optimal financial results



Requirements

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in purchasing, supply management, brand management or logistics
  • Four (4) years of management experience
  • Experience using Sales Force and Tableau

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • Ten (10) years of experience in the of hospitality industry, with a mix of experience from various supply or brand management roles
  • In-depth knowledge of hospitality related supplies, and services
  • Preferred Certifications: CPSM, CPM, or CHA
