OTO Development is pleased to present an exciting career opportunity for a Development Analyst working out of our corporate office in Spartanburg, SC.

The Development Analyst  will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring systems for the collection, storage and analytical use of data generated by OTO, Contractors, Vendors, Permitting Agencies, Utility Companies, and other entities during OTO ground up and renovation projects.

The DCA will ensure that all documents and other information is properly organized and retrievable to track project performance metrics and have data available in standard and ad hoc reports to provide to Senior Managers, Development Managers, Lenders, Property Operation staff and other stakeholder as required. The intention is that this work is to be performed with OTO electronic systems and programs currently operational and new systems that will be implemented over time to improve document control and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Development Managers in collection and proper filing of project data – Assistance will be provided from both the home office and at the project sites.
  • Update and maintain base project documents such as jobsite guidelines, consultant agreements, GC contract, other agreements, permits, bonds and legal documentation.
  • Produce standard (weekly/monthly) and ad hoc reports using project data including project budgeting and forecasting, overall project scheduling, internal reporting of schedules, milestones, key performance indicators and budget forecasts.
  • Work to implement continuous improvement in the way in which documents and other data are collected and used to improve project performance and clear and accurate reporting of project metrics.
  • Have a detailed understanding of the nature and functioning of the existing systems process that OTO uses to collect, store and report project data and evaluate new or alternative system/processes to more efficiently track and report project data.
  • Work with the Development Administrative Assistant in the support of the overall Development team and other Departments as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of data base management systems and processes and controls for data capture, storage, and analysis
  • High level expertise with MS Excel
  • Expertise with MS Word
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Familiarity with the basic principles and processes of construction
  • Ability to travel to project sites throughout the United States on a regular basis to assist Development Mangers
  • Self-starter who can identify solutions and implement them without detailed management direction
