The Jupiter Hotel/Jupiter NEXT is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping department.  As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for all Housekeeping staff Associates including Room Inspectors, Housekeepers, Laundry Attendants, and Groundskeepers.

The ideal candidate for this position

We are looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal skills, who can effectively communicate with staff, management, and guests.  Intermediate or better computer skills is required.  Bilingual in Spanish and English is a big plus.  This is a perfect growth opportunity for those who have some supervisory experience in the hospitality industry looking to take the next step in their career by taking on more responsibility.  

What you will be doing

As the Housekeeping Manager, you will report to the Director of Housekeeping.  Some, but not all of your essential duties will include:

  • Manage staff in a productive and positive way.

  • Quality inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back of the house.

  • Proactively plan and coordinate work assignments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

  • Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency, staff shortages, and changes in business demand.

  • Responsible for the completion and tracking of projects assigned by the Director of Housekeeping, including quarterly mattress, blanket, and comforter rotations.

Open availability and working weekends is required.  This is an hourly position.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting, and kneeling.
  • Must be able to work on feet, stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to keep up with pace of department/position demands.
  • Must be able to work for extended periods of time.
