The Centralized Payroll Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the payroll cycles are processed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with the Company and government policies, terms and regulations. Assist in the development and support of current and new systems utilized to record time and pay employees. Oversee and control payroll reporting and the information flow of payroll information from the hotel operation teams to the centralized teams. Perform any payroll reconciliations needed and any ad hoc projects as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare, reconcile and audit all payroll records, issue employee paychecks and manage all related payroll information for multiple locations within the U.S.
  • Comply with Union Contract processing requirements where applicable
  • Responsible for processing payroll bi-weekly for multiple properties.
  • Responsible for complying with policy and procedures and implementing payroll control process improvements
  • Generate Labor Reports for Department Managers and other payroll related reporting to support property teams
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and follow-up.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Works well under pressure and is able to multi-task and stay focused.
  • Strong Level of Proficiency in Excel, MS Office;
  • Prior experience using ADP and its reporting module highly preferred.
  • Compute accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Ability to effectively deal with employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred or any combination of training, experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential duties of the position required.
  • Three or more years' experience in payroll processing and accounting preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of and experience with accounting principles to include general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prior experience in hospitality industry preferred and given priority.
  • Proficient knowledge and use of SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Power Point and intermediate level Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and styles to effectively perform administrative functions and communicate with all levels of personnel.
  • Understands and conveys accounting processes to property personnel.
  • Ability to manage time in an efficient, effective and organized manner.
  • Proven experience in analyzing financial data and preparing financial reports or statements.
  • Self-starter who can work independently
