Job overview

The Revenue Manager is responsible for leading the team to achieve revenue goals and implement tactical goals to achieve revenue. The position is responsible for data analysis and providing detailed financial information to the team as well as other corporate and ownership. The position oversees the reservations department on property. The revenue manager ensures that inventory allocation and pricing parameters are positioned to support the overall revenue goals of the hotel to maximize profit.

What you will be doing

  • Responsible for Revenue Management Systems (RMS/ PMS/CRS).
  • Responsible for forecast and daily interaction with system and the decisions produced, configuration and maintenance tasks related to the system.
  • Maximizes net room revenue contribution through a thorough understanding of market segments, booking channels and demand drivers. Actively participates in creation of offers and evaluation of business opportunities.
  • Chairs and prepares materials for the weekly Revenue Management Meetings.
  • Oversees channel management including rate loading and inventory management.
  • Monitors segment booking pace in order to determine pricing and availability controls for all reservation distribution sources and implements according to the strategy of the hotel.
  • Monitors key indicators of hotel performance and third party intelligence sources to identify revenue opportunities
  • Responsible for completion of all rooms and revenue forecasting, budgeting and planning to accurately project unconstrained demand and hotel performance in collaboration with the team
  • Evaluates booking channel distribution models and opportunities for the hotel.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of required reporting including but not limited to 14-day forecast, 90-day forecast, strategic planning of budget and marketing plans, tracking and analysis of competitive set pricing and yield strategies in collaboration with the team
  • Liaise with Reservations, Front Office and Sales to ensure the highest level of guest service is maintained while maximizing profit
  • Stay current with industry changes and how it may impact demand
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Revenue Manager
  • Strategic thinking combined with the proven ability to move strategy to action
  • Comfortable in discussion forums; able to present
  • Detail oriented with proven experience in analysis and problem solving
  • Proven track record of team building skills
  • Independent work style
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints
  • Strong experience or adaptable training in the use of automated systems, PCs and Microsoft office products
  • Experience working with Revenue Management system required
  • Experience working with channel management and rate shopping systems required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at
