posted August 16, 2019The Alida, Savannah, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel
The Alida joins modern life with timeless charm on Savannah’s revitalized riverfront. Alida Harper Folkes was a celebrated entrepreneur in Savannah, who also worked tirelessly to preserve its heritage. We celebrate the Alidas of our time: self made artisans who cultivate our city’s contemporary spirit while honoring its storied past. We are seeking a skilled Director of Front Office to join our team, opportunities available at www.thealidahotel.com
You’ll feel right at home at The Alida, where every space is imbued with a sense of Southern tradition and contemporary design. Each of our 173 individually-designed rooms and suites is unique, with one-of-a-kind elements courtesy of the renowned Savannah College of Art & Design. And while no two rooms are alike, they all guarantee light-filled mornings, gleaming hardwood floors, and custom amenities.
This department head position will assist in overseeing Guest Experience, Valet Operations, Bell/Door teams and Concierge. They will also assist with Front Desk MOD responsibilities.
Education & Experience:
The Alida’s exceptional location in Savannah’s Historic District facilitates access to everything that downtown has to offer. Our inventive boutique hotel is just a few blocks from the Broughton Street retail corridor. Nearby are The Savannah College of Art and Design as well as the SCAD Museum of Art, and the area is home to many other museums, galleries, and arts venues. Visitors can check out City Market, a mixed-use development with shopping, dining, and entertainment. Forsyth Park, the district’s largest green space, is a little more than a mile away. Our urban oasis values the preservation of history while moving considerably into the future. Guests can work out in the 24-hour fitness center or cool off on our large, full-service pool deck with cabana retreats. Pampering in-room spa services are available. We invite guests to discover a new favorite or rediscover a classic at Rhett, a classic American kitchen; in the Trade Room, a thought-provoking lounge; or on The Lost Square, an extraordinary rooftop experience with Historic District views.
