About This Job

This role will assist in the daily functions for hotel transitions. You will work to ensure all tasks are completed timely and accurately, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting-Transitions.  If you excel in time management and multitasking, and enjoy variation in your day-to-day routine, we can utilize your skills as a Corporate Staff Accountant with Interstate.

As a Corporate Staff Accountant-Transitions you will:

  • Work with the Director of Accounting to set up initial books and records for hotel transitions.
  • Prepare and record journal entries.
  • Ensure proper coding and invoice submission.
  • Responsible for accounts receivable collection.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts have proper support.
  • Partner and collaborate with Operations, Finance and Accounting to ensure a smooth transition process.
  • Handle all vendor inquiries. 

Fundamentals

Bachelor’s Degree in the area of Accounting/Finance desired. Previous multi-unit accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry, preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are expected. This position requires the ability to compile facts and figures; basic to intermediate Excel experience required. You will regularly use a computer, various software programs and a calculator. You must be able to communicate effectively and courteously over the telephone and in person.
