Job Description

A Confirmations Coordinator (Japanese Speaking) is responsible for making outbound calls to confirm marketing guest reservations and up-sell guest to meet targeted goals.This position will also book vacation certificate guests that have not been booked. They also answer calls from guests who have booked packages or tours scheduled and provide a high-level of customer service in regards to their upcoming vacation. They work closely with other call center teams to process package reservations and schedule tours.

What will I be doing?

As a Confirmations Coordinator (Japanese Speaking) you would be responsible for executing your position's responsibilities in alignment with our Spirit of Service culture and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Make outbound calls to confirm reservations
  • Up-sell customers to upgraded rooms/views and/ or properties
  • Book appointments for sales presentations
  • Assist customers via phone or email including, reservation changes, cancellation, or other inquiries
  • Use company systems to update guest lead information, create package reservations, book tours, charge credit cards and send confirmation letters
  • Provide customer/concierge services to all guests including the sale of tours and activities
  • Provide complete and accurate information to guests on every telephone call or electronic communication, especially information about the destination, tour presentation, accommodations, premiums and promotions
  • Work with resort operations and onsite marketing leaders to assist with guest issues
  • Meet budgeted targets on a monthly basis
  • Handle situations with dissatisfied guests
  • Comply with all reasonable requests put forth by management

  • A minimum of 1 year call center experience
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment
  • Able to work in a timely manner, critically think and work in a team environment
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic reading, writing and spoken English
  • High level of reading, writing and speaking proficiency in Japanese
  • High school/GED
 It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
  • 1+ year(s) of call center experience
  • 1+ year(s) of sales experience
  • Thorough understanding of Hawaii with the ability to explain activities, restaurants and destinations throughout the islands
