Description

Stories Servers are responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting these food and beverage preferences timely and to temperature. The right person will gain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings. This person must have exceptional communication skills as well as superior guest service abilities. Servers engage in casual conversation and enhance the experience by their style and service attributes. Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment.

Stories is a fine dining restaurant. This is a fast paced position with constant customer interaction. Prior serving experience required.

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
  • Refined verbal communication skills.
  • Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have full availability in evenings with a call time of 3:30p-4:00p
  • Must be available weekends and holidays
  • Prior serving experience in a fine dining restaurant preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • TABC certification is required.

Guests can opt to use one of our gorgeous ballrooms, or schedule a less formal, outdoor affair. With Personal Preference Dining, guests can choose their own entrée when we cater their event. In their free time, our guests enjoy recreation right on the grounds of our hotel, itself.  They can visit the spa, play golf at our championship-level facilities, or just enjoy a day of pool fun on a hot summer day.  We organize horseback riding and river kayaking excursions both on our grounds and at the nature preserve, so everyone can enjoy exciting activities with the safety of trained and highly qualified guides.  Guests can learn archery or trap shooting, and at the end of the day go stargazing.  Guests who stay at our hotel gain a new appreciation of the Austin area.
