Located on a sprawling beachfront site in northeast Florida, the historic Inn has offered a world of upscale oceanfront accommodations paired with fine service and a wide array of leisure pursuits since its opening in 1928.

We are seeking a key facilities leader with an engineering background in large building maintenance, luxury property, large campus style setting, and high-end commercial or residential property.  In addition to mechanical skills; a strong problem solver with an eye for detail and an analytical mind. Strong communication and organizational skills are also important in our luxury environment. 

Key Focus of Skill Set Includes:

  • Understanding electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating and electronic systems
  • Responsible for troubleshooting the problem and assessing whether parts can be repaired or need to be replaced
  • Understanding how to read blueprints and system schematics
  • Working knowledge of equipment safety systems and processes
  • Ability to stand, stoop, squat and kneel for long periods of time, as well as lift, push and pull large parts or machines as needed
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays, and split shifts as needed.
  • Attend all required meetings, training, safety courses, chair monthly department meetings.
  • In the absence of the Director, the Assistant Director will be responsible for department
  • The Assistant Director will respond to emergencies, 24/7, and take appropriate actions to protect the safety and security of guests, members and staff 
  • Decision making in the best interest and protection of property assets 
  • Partner with the Director setting goals, tasks and priorities to maintain the highest levels of guest satisfaction, building appearance and function
  • Make recommendations to the Director regarding all policies, schedules, pay rates, training, financial performance and energy conservation
  • Collaborate with the Director to develop capital and operational budgets, and be responsible for financial results
  • Responsible for effective planning, scheduling, and the work flow in the department; develop systems to track, analyze and improve operations
  • Operational control and responsibility for all preventive maintenance, planning, completion and reporting
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors; scheduling, maintain work standards, minimize guest interruption
