About This Job

Scope of this Position

Lead the property's Food and Beverage operation including unique new Outlets, Pool/Beach, Room Service, and special events.

  • This position reports to: General Manager

What you will be doing

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of respective computer systems according to specifications.
  • Conduct departmental interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching/counseling of staff.
  • Ensure all F&B associates participate in departmental/hotel orientation programs and receive all required Company training.
  • Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings communicating pertinent information to the staff, such as house count and menu changes, direct staff in their work assignments.
  • Supervise daily operation of all Food and Beverage.  Ordering and maintaining supplies, review set-up and food and beverage preparation and service.
  • Assist in estimation of food, liquor, wine and other beverage consumption in order to purchase according to budgets.
  • Maintain food and liquor inventories and cost controls.
  • Ensure departmental controls are in place and monitored daily. 
  • Interact positively with customers promoting hotel facilities and services. Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties.
  • Maintain profitability of F&B outlets and Kitchen to support overall hotel operations
  • Deliver products and services to meet and exceed the brand standards.

  • Minimum 4+ years prior hotel Director of Food and Beverage experience; preferably, full service, upscale boutique.
  • Requires previous supervisory experience incuding interviewing, scheduling,
  • High school diploma or equivalent with minimum of 5 years expereince in the food and beverage, culinary, banquet management area.
  • Two year degree from an accredited university in Hospitality Management or related major; 5+ years experience in the hospitlaity food and beverage, culinary, and strong background in banquet management.
