French Lick Resort is looking for an experienced supervisor for our Casino Environmental Services crew. The best candidate for the job will be a team leader who works with the crew keeping the casino clean and safe!
The Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Environmental Services Manager in overseeing all environmental maintenance and infection control standards. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Resort’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must have High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
Must have prior housekeeping supervisory experience.
Must have previous customer service experience.
Must be able work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Must have ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
Must have the ability to effectively interact with customers and employees.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to obtain and retain valid gaming license.
Assists in overseeing the maintenance of environmental and infection control standards.
Assigns duties to attendants.
Ensures a clean environment through dusting of furniture, woodwork, equipment and dust mopping floors.
Ensures fixtures are polished and cleaned.
Ensures rooms and halls are wet mopped and rugs and furniture are shampooed.
Maintains clean vents, fan fixtures, tops of windows, doorframes and other areas.
Ensures the proper gathering and disposal of trash and waste materials.
Ensures that floors are buffed, stripped, waxed and polished.
Performs visual inspection to ensure quality standards are being achieved.
Fosters positive team member relations.
Acts as a role model for employees and fosters teamwork, employee morale, motivation, and open communication.
Coaches and develops employees to achieve expected goals by maintaining a consistent approachable demeanor and articulates department expectations.

The Cook family wanted their preservation work to result in living, breathing historic places that would be around for centuries to come.
