What you will be doing

Position Summary

Banquet bartenders serve beverages at banquets and events and ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained. Banquet bartenders work behind the bar counter to craft and serve drinks, and work weekends and nights. Banquet bartenders need to be available on call for events. People who find most satisfaction in this field enjoy working independently and engaging positively with others. This position is a Thursday-Saturday position as needed. This position is required to be on-call and available for larger events hosted at the hotel. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Report to work on time in proper uniform.
  • Check board to ensure the location of the room to work in.
  • Review copy of BEO with Captain during line up.
  • Set up the bar-back table with appropriate glassware according to established guidelines in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide exceptional service during the event, observing the Captains instructions.
  • Provide continuous attention to details before, during and after the event.
  • Complete all assigned side work duties in a timely manner.
  • Follow proper clearing and cleanup procedure.
  • Follow proper handling of hotel equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times observing all safety rules.
  • Follow proper beverage handling procedures.
  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for patrons.
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations.

The ideal candidate for this position

  • City of Fond du Lac Bartender-Operator license preferred
  • High School Diploma required
