About This Job

Westmont Hospitality Group Inc. is actively seeking a dynamic, exceptionally knowledgeable and hands on Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing to join our phenomenal corporate team. This position is responsible for providing oversight ensuring exceptional sales results of a portfolio of 20 -25 full service, upper upscale, and multi branded hotels. Position is remote-based and requires 60-70% travel across the United States.

Job overview

The Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for implementing sales and marketing objectives across the portfolio. They will facilitate the performance and revenue goals at each managed hotel by providing leadership, direction and strategies.  Work closely with DOSMs to effectively communicate industry trends and develop strategies to increase revenues across the brand. They will take an active role in each hotel’s annual marketing plans with measurable and specific initiatives detailed to maintain and grow each business segment. 

What you will be doing

  • Manage all aspects of the sales and marketing division: Provide the strategic vision for maximum hotel sales generation and optimal revenue growth. This position will facilitate training and support to the hotels in all sales areas including business planning, performance tracking, trouble shooting and hands-on engagement with the property sales teams.
  • Effectively channel your knowledge of the competitive landscape: Assess the effectiveness of company programs to determine optimum revenues using Westmont system reports and market data, in order to innovate.
  • Forge relationships and build rapport: Cultivate, enhance and leverage external and internal relationships to elevate hotel and market share awareness and drive business.

  • Managing Execution: Manages multiple projects and effectively prioritizes tasks, responsibilities, and goals; uses goals to guide actions and creates detailed action plans; organizes and schedules people and tasks; utilizes resources effectively to meet goals. 
  • Works cooperatively with others to accomplish business goals and objectives; asks others for their ideas and opinions; supports team's decisions; contributes to the team's efforts. Also partner with the Corporate Director of Revenue to collaborate rate and revenue maximization.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for team work
  • Must have complete knowledge and understanding of multiple sales systems
  • Effective in leadership and mentorship for hotel sales teams
  • Passion and commitment to the position at an ownership level
  • Must work with integrity and be ethical at all times
  • Work well under pressure and meet or beat deadlines
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in full service hotels and multi property/brand sales oversight
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or related field, is preferred
  • Requires more than 50% travel
