About This Job

Graduate Hotels Management is seeking an experienced Task Force Food and Beverage Managerto join our team to support our collection of Graduate Hotels. This position will travel to different properties across the country to provide interim leadership coverage as need. Graduate Hotels is a hotel collection targeting university-anchored markets across the country that celebrates each town's unique local culture and history.

FOOD and BEVERAGE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads Food and Beverage Operation
  • Schedules and assigns responsibilities to food and beverage team members
  • Maintaining costs within budget levels.
  • Manage labor costs, schedules and productivity.
  • Hiring, coaching and disciplining direct reports.
  • Interacting positively and professionally with guests to resolve issues.
  • Maintaining desired service standards.
  • Maintaining Food and Beverage inventories and controls.
  • Acting as Manager on duty as required.
  • Creative menu planning to adjust to guest needs.
  • Checking quality of food deliveries.
  • Cleanliness and sanitation of all Food and Beverage Outlets
  • Ordering all food and cleaning supplies and maintaining proper supply levels.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Financial savvy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or Business preferred.
  • Ability to travel 100%
